Lua Darger is a multidisciplinary artist living & working in the realms of the unreal— good old Austin, Texas.

It's said that illustration, storytelling and tattooing are her strengths and that collecting stray cats is

her weakness, but who's to judge? Her work is highly influenced by personal anecdotes and emits a sense of nostalgia for times long passed. Other sources of inspiration include her namesake, Henry Darger, the 1970s era, diary comics, pattern making, outsider art, motherhood, mediumship, and the paranormal. When she's not making art, she enjoys finding new places to sip coffee and also building Lego sets with her kid.
