Freedom from the Flesh

This project is an illustrated booklet about out-of-body experiences (OBEs). It was created as a way for me to process my own surreal experience with the phenomenon. This book covers the various facets of OBEs such as possible causes, personal accounts, and their similarities to astral projection.

I come from a family where supernatural occurrences are commonplace, especially OBEs. When I had my first (and only) OBE I was both terrified and awe-stricken—obsessed even. The desire to understand why this event had happened to me led me to explore it further. I interviewed friends, family members, and even strangers about their own OBEs. I scoured the Internet for any related material. This book is just a small portion of what I found in my search for answers.
