Neptune Coffee

This project is a brand redesign of a local, Austin coffee trailer, Neptune Coffee. This business is a perfect reflection of Austin’s “keep it weird” culture, with its quirky menu and seasonal astrological beverages. The brand originally had an illustration of a coffee mug that contained a constellation. I felt like it needed much more to really make its personality shine.

I felt it was important to keep the astrological aesthetic that Neptune Coffee was already known for. Early on I decided that a planet mascot would make the perfect addition to the brand. My logo features an illustration of Neptune blowing steam off its coffee. I updated the color palette with tones that were more mellow than the original one. I proceeded to compliment the logo’s cosmic vibe with a futuristic type. This brand redesign left Neptune Coffee with a fresh look that shows customers that it’s still one of the places that "keeps Austin weird."
